چکیده
This paper best describes a MATLAB based approach for comparing performances of digital modulation schemes used in mobile radio communication channels which are affected by the well known pitfall of the wireless communication channels, fading. Specifically, this paper introduces the basic concepts for digital modulation schemes such as M-PSK (M-ary Phase Shift Keying) and M-QAM (M-ary Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) and simulates propagation process in AWGN or Rayleigh fading channels of Phase Shift Keying and Quadrature Amplitude Modulation and a wireless link numerical example taking into consideration parameters like channel bandwidth, bit error rate, bit rate, energy of symbol or probability of error. Furthermore, based on the results it can be observed which one of the modulation scheme has the most increased capacity and which one has the best performance according to the values of BER and SNR..

Performance Scrutiny of Two Control Schemes Based on DSM and HB in Active Power Filter
This paper presents a comparative analysis between two current control strategies, constant source power and generalized Fryze current, used in Active Power Filter (APF) applications having three different modulation methods. The Hysteresis Band (HB) and first-order Delta-Sigma Modulation (DSM) as well as the second-order DSM is applied. The power section of the active power filter is viewed as...
متن کاملMitigation of Intersymbol Interference with Equalization and Convolution Coding
In mobile radio communications, various phenomena such as multipath wave propagation, time dispersion, and fading introduce errors like Intersymbol interference (ISI), and other distortions into the signals that are transmitted over wireless channel in mobile radio communications. To combat errors, equalization (a sophisticated set of signal processing techniques), convolution coding and other ...

متن کاملBER Performance Evaluation of GMSK for Fading Mobile Channels
Digital modulation plays a significant role in efficient wireless communication. It allows the transmission of digital data via air on high frequency carrier waves. The worst case communication channel is usually in the urban environment where there are many obstacles. Due to the obstacles and reflectors, the transmitted signal arrives at the receiver from various directions over a multiplicity...
